Seedling Blueberry 'Little Blue Wonder®'
Vaccinium myrtillus
The Little Blue Wonder blueberry bush is one of the most compact: it reaches only about 50 cm in height. Given its wider-than-tall habit, this compact blueberry variety is ideal for dense and extensive plantings or for underplanting shrub blueberries. It flowers slightly earlier than most other blueberry varieties — but after the main risk of spring frosts has passed. In any case, we have never yet observed spring frost damage on this variety.
During its long flowering period, Little Blue Wonder forms a magnificent, very dense carpet of beige and white flowers. Hence our additional name for Little Blue Wonder: the heather blueberry.
