Seedling Blackberry 'Triple Crown®'
Rubus subg. Rubus
'Triple Crown' is a classic, well-known thornless blackberry variety with vigorous, semi-upright growth. This robust variety stands out for its good frost hardiness, making it suitable for higher-altitude locations. Maturity is in August. At this time, the new canes of 'Triple Crown', as is typical for classic blackberries, are already fully developed. The lateral shoots that form on them are cut back to 10-20 cm in August. Then in late autumn, after the harvest, the old canes are removed at ground level. The best new canes, a maximum of 5 to 6, are tied into their definitive position, and any additional shoots are removed.
