The autumn raspberry Primeberry® 'Purple Love'® offers its beautiful, slightly purple fruits to the family of gardeners — almost actively, letting them grow right into waiting mouths. This advantage for the family garden results — as is often the case — from an apparent weakness: 'Purple Love'® is 50% descended from the American black raspberry Rubus occidentalis and has inherited from it flexible but not very robust canes. These now bend under the increasing weight of the ripening fruits, growing towards the hungry mouth at a perfect height of approximately 110–150 cm.
Colour: A delicate purple, accentuated by a whitish waxy coating (the so-called "bloom"). In terms of flavour, the 'Purple Love'® berries are very sweet; a discreet fruity acidity only appears later on the palate, while an exotic aroma is particularly perceptible on the finish. Overall, 'Purple Love'® raspberries are sweeter than the average classic red raspberry.

Growing instructions
Cultivation: Bears on annual canes from approximately the last week of July; in spring, cut all canes back to ground level.
Maturity: Approx. from 20 July to 15 September, very staggered and continuous; harvest every 3 days (2× per week).
Yield: Very high yield, as both the main canes and the strong lateral shoots at the tips produce up to 180 flowers and fruits over the last 25–50 cm.

Height: 120–150 cm
Habit: Absolutely thornless; vigorous, which is why canes can preferably be shortened to 20 cm in height to increase the number of canes.
