Seedling Fennel, Autumn Fennel
Foeniculum vulgare var. azoricum
Autumn fennel yields large white bulbs with healthy, strong foliage. It’s tender and mild flavour liven up dishes without overpowering them. As the name implies, autumn fennel is only suitable for planting in mid-summer for autumn cultivation. So it is a great addition to spaces in the garden that did not get used, or that had an early crop that you already harvested. If you have some bare ground come July—autumn fennel is there to help!
