Seedling Asian Vegetable, Michihili
Brassica chinensis
Michihili is an Asian vegetable that forms beautiful elongated and compact heads.
The green leaves are tender and supported by fleshy, white ribs. It can be eaten raw in salads, steamed or stir-fried in a pan with a drizzle of oil. It is used in a multitude of Asian recipes. Thanks to its late harvest, which runs from late September to mid-December, it allows the harvest season to be extended into winter. It can reach 30 cm in height at harvest and is suitable for growing in pots.
