Plant in the ground or in pots, preferably in spring or autumn. Space the plants about 30 cm apart. Choose a sunny spot sheltered from the wind. Strawberries thrive in rich, well-drained soil. Mulching is strongly recommended to retain moisture and prevent the fruit from touching damp ground. Frost-hardy.
