Organic Lancet-leaved Plantain Seedling
Plantago lanceolata
Plantain should be in every home garden. It's supposed to relieve the respiratory system in case of coughs and colds. In fact, it used to be a mainstay and expected plant in all gardens. Freshly squeezed leaves pressed onto a bee or wasp sting ease the pain and help prevent swelling. It grows to a height of about 20 cm, making it ideal for growing in pots and on balconies. It is native to Switzerland.
