Achillea millefolium
True yarrow is a medicinal plant that is highly valued in natural medicine. Simple infusions can be made by pouring boiling water over fresh or dried flowers. It can help with digestive problems or to relieve cramp-related pain. Yarrow flower heads can also be included in dried flower arrangements. It grows to a height of 50 cm and flowers from June to August. It is native to Switzerland.
Growing instructions
Sow in April into seedling trays. Transfer to larger pot with 2–5 plants per pot. Later, transplant into the field in May at a distance of 30 cm. It is a very undemanding and self-sufficient plant.
