Cabbage root flies lay their eggs at the base of the stem of the various cabbage plants. The maggots then attack the cabbage's main root and damage it. The cabbages take on a leaden colour, wilt, and remain stunted.
After planting, the collar is placed around the cabbage seedlings and pressed down into the soil. Thanks to the slits, the plant is not damaged. Not compostable.
