Seedling, Basil, Greek
Ocimum basilicum
Tiny, highly aromatic leaves, globular in shape: This is the Greek basil. It completes the flavour of pesto sauce and is an eye-catcher in the Mediterranean herb garden of the Cisalpine mountains. The harvest is done best with a pointy pairs of small scissors. (because who actually owns a golden sickle?)
